1. “Mr Purkis is said to have responded to a tweet which said, “Only atheists should be allowed to run for office”, with: “Damn right, you won’t catch us killing in the name of our non-god”.”

   Doesn’t sound like a person mentally capable of serving the public in any official capacity.

2. Teacher is a transphobe and frankly deserved to be fired. I agree with the panel members assessment by of the Tories too.

   But then again this is the Torygraph…

3. This seems to be a massive waste of time and tax payers money, because it took a defence representative to do the necessary background checks on the members of the panel, that should have been done by its own governing body. Good going.

   Also, the headline is so misleading it hurts my brain.

4. Are we going to pretend that just because someone doesn’t post on Twitter that they don’t have political opinions?

5. Majority of people on these panels aren’t going to be 100% neutral and sadly they all we have.
