We do not negotiate with terrorists, we just bow down to them apparently.
I’d write some long form post, but honestly South Park explained it so well back in 2010: [https://youtu.be/8TMHIYDHMSE?t=95](https://youtu.be/8TMHIYDHMSE?t=95) (1 minute and 35 seconds into the clip)
>The organization refers to a new mayoral decision, ratified by acting mayor Bram Van Braeckevelt (Green). In it he speaks of a “significant terrorist threat.”
I think that when politicians base their actions in “terrorist threats” they should substantiate it with evidences, for instance, reports from police, messages received, facts. Otherwise they are just feeding the narrative that they are acting at the orders of terrorists.
If the reason is the actual level of security in Belgium of 3 out of 4, then why they did not think about it earlier and simply have not invited the Israel team?
If the reason is the spray painting about boycott to Israel, then it seems a bit exaggerated and gives the impression that anybody with a spray is a terrorist or that anybody can decide if a group could be banned from the country just by painting in a wall.
I think Israel teams should not be invited to any European competition, because they are not Europeans and because they should be treated as other countries (like Russia) with sanctions due to their war crimes. I also know that this case is special and it is sensible for some people to think that they are just teenagers and should be allowed. But what a government or organization cannot do is bringing these Israel kids without expecting what was going to happen.
Again, of course I am against any terrorism, but I think that considering a painting of “boycott to Israel” an act of terror is exaggeration. If anything is terrorism, then nothing is terrorism.
Finally, I know some people think that sport should not be mixed with politics, but this is not the case, because it is a fact that inviting Israel and having different standards with them in competitions is, by definition, a political decision.
There is perhaps a case to be made for excluding Israel, but “these assholes are threatening a terror attack if we let them compete” is absolutely not it.
And again the forces of terror and anti-Jew movements win. We are back in nazi-times.
Geweldig signaal naar andere potentiele terroristen.
