  2. As a start I’d like to see politicians, governmental institutions, banks etc to leave X because it legitimizes the platform while it basically sank down to the far right cesspit it is now. It needs to die.

    2. Journalists need to quit Twitter/X. It’s done nothing good for the industry and has rather been parasitic, especially after musk took over. 99% of the world doesn’t pay attention to twitter. Nor should journalists.

    Edit: obviously, not to diminish the severity of impact that they have cause to their victims, and not to suggest that victims or counter protesters are stupid or doing the wrong thing by being in harms way to begin with. Everything I’ve seen is the result of violent opertunism and there’s no avoiding that once you’re in the way. Please be safe all.

    The countryside is controlled by roaming groups of old geezers who share a shotgun, while the cities and towns are controlled by warlords. Controlling knife welding gangs who protect themselves with crude armor of sheet metal and cardboard.

  38. Honest question, since i do have almost no knowledge about UK politics: what is actually happening there?

    * I know about the tragedy of the little girls who got attacked and killed by a son of immigrants (who was born in UK, which might be important context?)
    * I’ve seen videos of Englishmen attacking hotels housing asylum seekers and videos of Englishmen blocking the streets for cars that are not run by white, english drivers, also reports of a mob attacking filipino nurses on their way to their shift
    * Also i have seen videos of migrant/muslim mobs armed with machetes and bats and other actual dangerous stuff and videos of them attacking a pub and seemingly random people (maybe not, don’t know), and videos of two people that reportedly got badly injured by those mobs
    * For me, as an outsider, the media coverage seems to actually be biased and one-sided, but of course that could be the result of for example the X-algorithm showing me only one side
    * Independent “journalists”‘s YouTube streams i have seen seem to willingly fuel the riots
    * Reaction of politics and police to the current situation also seems to be not very constructive

    Again, i don’t know shite about UK politics and stuff but to me, as an outsider, this looks all really messy. I’m just guessing the ordinary brit is not at all happy about any of the points listed above? What’s going on? Is this just two extremes taking the whole country hostage?
