UK failing to monitor apparently falling wasp populations, expert warns

1. Like many others, I viewed wasps as nothing more than a nuisance for most of my early life. But recall watching a show years ago about the vital role they play within the broader circle of life.

   They’re critical and if we see a major decrease in wasps we’ll likely witness other knock-on effects in terms of pests etc further down the food chain.
