I went to Oostende this week for the first time in about five years. The train station has been completely modernized, and I was amazed by the big modern skyscrapers they are building there, the Sky Towers.

And i mean really BIG, its quite rare to see this kind of skyscraper in other Belgian cities, and i´m from Brussels. Are more people living in Oostende now? Are there more tourists than before? What's happening?

  1. Get outside and touch grass more often, there are many similar projects in Antwerp, Ghent, Mechelen, etc.

  2. >Whats happening to Oostende?

    Big money destroying local identity.

Not exactly new or Ostend specific.

  3. Are those towers the ones where the boomers were crying because there was a lighthouse in their sights?

  4. 3 regionale vasgoedmagnaten die de politiek in hun pocket hebben
