  2. Ah yes, the Mona Lisa. And where in Italy can I observe this beautiful painting?

  3. Wasnt the Mona Lisa painted in France? Or finished ?

  4. >Most iconic 2D artwork

    Puts a sculpture for Switzerland

  5. In Spain I think the thing is between Picasso’s Guernica and Velazquez’s Las Meninas

  6. Mona Lisa is French.

(Now waiting for the angry pasta noise)

  7. While “het meisje met de parel” is iconic, I’d say that “De Sterrennacht” is a lot more well-known worldwide.

  8. Girl with a Pearl Earring is iconic, but I would have my dilemma because there are several great ones in the Netherlands.

  9. Surely literally any mural in the North is more iconic than whatever they’ve selected for ireland

  10. Pearl earring girl is our most iconic one? For real for real?

  11. “Wow OP is so stupid! He put 2d in the title while Greece and Denmark have statues in the picture!”
    *Sees they are Belgian*
    “Oh nvm that makes sense”

  12. Weak continentals, look at this pretty landscape or pretty girl or group of people or weird shit.

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, look at this machine of war

  13. I am really baffled if Hugo Simberg’s Haavoittunut Enkeli (Wounded Angel) is the most iconic 2D art of Finland. I would bet my whatever that Gallen-Kallela has many more iconic and more distinct works in his repertoire.

  14. The italian one looks awesome, where can I go to see it? 🙂
