  1. They are seeming just pathetic and weak. I’m loving every second of the fall of Trump. Dude is a legit lunatic.

  2. If Tim Walz is your villain, maybe you’re the baddie?

  3. We crossed a threshold at some point from “right wing media carries water for Republican candidates” to “Republican candidates just do what right wing media tells them.”

Until they can crowd-source a line of attack on a candidate conservative politicians have nothing they can say

  4. What else did you expect from the folks that tried to make a scandal out of wearing a tan suit and eating dijon mustard

  5. They’ve been in the “throw everything at the wall and see what sticks” phase of things since the announcement. The problem is there doesn’t seem to be much, and he’s just kinda like… this dude, you know. A nice guy.

I guarantee that if you were stuck on the side of the road, he’d pull over and try to fix your car for you. He’d probably offer you a snack while he did it.

  6. Lol JV Vance earlier today tried to claim that Walz’ military service was stolen valor. Claimed he was never deployed and just “up and left” right before they were going to be deployed. (ignore the fact that he was deployed to Italy for European Security Force to support the war in Afghanistan I guess)

  7. Good people doing good things for the sake of helping others confuses them.

  8. It will end up settling on George Floyd riots and them criticizing “more government spending” generally while omitting it being for things like making sure kids can eat at school.

I saw a clip of Ben Shapiro attacking that, saying something like “if your kids are starving then CPS needs to be called on you”, give me a fucking break. Yeah being poor means you should have your kids taken away what a fucking joke, but the reason he has to make such an idiotic argument is because despite pretending to be the party of family advocacy he opposes tax dollars making sure all those kids he wants to force the birth of can eat. If you don’t want kids to have parents who need such assistance maybe don’t FORCE WOMEN WHO WOULD GET AN ABORTION BECAUSE THEY CAN’T AFFORD A CHILD TO HAVE A CHILD. Fucking wretch wearing human skin.

  9. There are frothing conservatives posting nonstop hit pieces on Walz here. That’s how you know he was the right choice.

  10. The DUI attack is useless to try and use in the Midwest. Absolutely no one cares until your third, or you hurt someone.

  11. If only they spent as much time and resources to actually draft policy and make the case why people should vote Republican ?

  12. Instead of attacking your opponent as a villain maybe, oh, I don’t know tell America how you’re going to make their lives better. Or, eh, point to your own records as president and senator so we can get an example of how you plan to lead.

Trump has one plan. Attack. Thing is we’ve been seeing it since 2012 during the hoax of the birther movement. In all that he’s done he hasn’t changed his methods. His pool of supporters are are 8 years older. Some still cling to his promise of making Mexico pay. But many want what Democrats want, a better America.

If you look at the messaging of George W Bush (compassionate conservatism) to Ronald Reagan (shining city upon the hill) you see Republicans can convey a unifying idealized America (we can debate their outcome). Donald Trump isn’t promising that. Even MAGA (make America great again) isn’t in the messaging anymore. It’s one of direct, incessant personal attacks. One of harassment and punishment for non-loyalists to him.

  13. I heard Vance accusing him of stolen valor earlier today. Republicans are so cooked they’re reverting back to the George W Bush playbook and are trying to pull a Swiftboat.

  14. Walz is a rural white dude that is a veteran, owns guns and loves hunting. Anything negative they say about him they are saying about their base. If HE is a commie pinko then a lot of their own voters are gonna think “Wait..? Does Trump think *I’M* a commie pinko?”

  15. The democrats picked a winning team of hope for our future for everyone. No felons.

  16. They’re trying to paint him as having stolen valor which is like what???

  17. imagine if they actually relied on sound policies that could benefit the middle class?

  18. If you meet an asshole over coffee, you met an asshole. If you meet assholes all day, you’re the asshole.

  19. Dude has them in an absolute spin. He propells a week of positive press for at least a week on all his own, especially when he compares against Vance. You’ve got Funny Midwest Grandpa against Couchfucking Yale Dweeb. He’s going to dunk on him from half court. I’m honestly looking forward to the VP Debate more than the Presidential (if Trump shows at all).

I’m legit shook. I’m a socialist, so I don’t like a lot of what the Dems do & believe as capitalists, but from just an election strategy and general competency standpoint, the last month has been a symphony of bangers, one after the other from them. I’m agog. This is so unlike how the Dems usually roll (at least when dealing with conservatives).

  20. Imagine putting half this effort into creating policies people broadly like.

  21. Not surprising, he is the kind of man that you would probably find in a farm anywhere in rural america. He is the fun grandpa. He is the jolly neighbor you just find likable. He is that teacher everyone remembers, and in a good way. He is the one dogs wag a tail to and expose their bellies to and those cats prefer as the warm lap to sleep on and a nice leg to rub against. Heck I would not be surprised if birds land on his hand when he walks around his property.

He is likable. And I would LOVE to see him debate Vance. It would be a massacre. Also, let it be a “couch debate”, see Vance sweat blood as he sees those nice, fluffly, comfy couches you sit on and debate from there.

  22. Republicans falsely accused Walz of changing Minnesota’s state flag to more closely resemble that of Somalia. The redesign was conducted through a public survey

In 2023, Walz signed into law legislation that provided free access to menstrual products… The benefit extended to transgender students who used the boy’s bathroom…No one should be required to explain their need for a tampon … access to free sanitary products is also a boon to low-income students and their families

“Meet Tim Walz, who lives in a van down by the river,” Shapiro wrote on X alongside a photo of Walz, referencing one of Farley’s most famous sketches. The joke didn’t land…

Shapiro later doubled down in another post, comparing Walz to famed performer Don Rickles. Funny? Beloved? Fame beyond their generation? You sure got him Ben.

  23. Can you imagine trying to frame Walz, a solid working class dude who served over 20 years in the military, was a teacher and a coach, and has faught endlessly for kids, as a villain. While framing Trump, a man born into wealth, a draft dodger, a good friend to Epstein, a sexually deranged self proclaimed daughter-chaser, and tv Star as divinely ordained?

How did this even fucking happen?

  24. He was a grade school teacher. I am sure he is experienced in dealing with attacks from the Trump camp.

  25. I went out to r/Conserative and the best they can come up with is, “He’s not Shapiro so Trump will take PA.”

That and he is “Another Radical Leftist”.

First one just seems a bit out of touch. The scond one…thats just the sound of mouth-breathing a this point.

  26. Tim Walz seems like the friendly neighbor that always has a dad joke ready, would help out in a pinch, and probably has several pairs of new balance and cargo shorts teed up for the summer. He reminds me of so many dads and granddads.

  27. Walz is like the coolest older guy ever. Trying to paint him as a “villain” is going to fail epically.

The real problem is that the right has forgotten how to campaign on policy. Trump spouting off juvenile insults is not going to be enough this time.

  28. It apparently no longer even occurs to the Republicans to just run on a policy platform any more. They have to run on the other guy supposedly being a cartoon villain because they have completely given up doing any kind of normal politics.

  29. He was a Sergeant Major. How come he didn’t make General?

How come his team didn’t win the championship every year while he was involved with football?

    Just trina help here. 😄

  30. Trump is especially flailing….so much so that he went on a Truth Social rant suggesting that Biden was going to swoop in a the convention and take the nomination back.

Trump is used to throwing out a snarky nickname and then heading to the golf course. But while “sleepy Joe” worked because it has some truth to it, “crazy Kamala” doesn’t quite land as well coming out of the mouth of an old, senile man who rambles about sharks, battery-powered boats that don’t exist and Hannibal Lecter.

Trump is getting more senile and unhinged by the day. Trump in 2016 had message discipline. He won the GOP primary and the election entirely on one issue – immigration. On the stump, it was “I’m going to build a beautiful wall, and Mexico is going to pay for it” on a loop.

If the dude had his marbles, he’d focus on inflation and the border, full stop. Hammer it. But all he has room for in his aging noggin’ is personal grievances, self-pity and a strong desire to stay out of jail.

  31. Tim Walz: Shit. Oh hell, let’s just do what we always do. Feed kids at school lunch.

  32. It kind of says everything that their #1 priority is “finding a line of attack”. Maybe just work on not being so shitty yourselves and consider adopting some actual policies?

  33. They’re trying to attack his military record for deciding to retire before his unit could be deployed to Iraq. The problem is that he had every legal right to do so. Civilians often don’t get that you can’t just quit the military. They will do everything they can to hold you to your commitment once you sign. He had a chance to get out and he took it. And many people don’t blame him one bit.

The other problem is that the republican ticket has no room to talk about military honor. The Republican ticket consists of a draft dodger and a fobbit. They have no room to be lecturing a 24-year veteran who served honorably about commitment. This kind of garbage is exactly why Rpublicans deserve to lose this year. Rather than go after him about policy, they insist on making personal attacks that make them appear hypocritical. And it is why this lifelong Republican is abandoning them and voting Democrat this year. I’m not coming back until the party regains some sanity and starts nominating competent people again.

  34. This is a guy who moderate Republicans and Independents can get behind. Anyone could sit and have a beer and a good laugh with this guy.

Tim Walz is going to be a great Vice President. He’s a veteran, union supporter, gun owner, former teacher, football coach, grew up in rural Nebraska, is a midwestern Governor, and supporter of working class Americans. And bonus, not a multiple convicted felon or party of the crazy Project 2025.

Yes, Republicans are struggling to “paint Tim Walz as a villain” because he is the opposite of that. He’s just a nice guy and a breath of fresh air. Harris – Walz 2024. Let’s go!
