“The King has asked for daily updates on the evolving situation after unrest around the UK, Sky News understands.

He is said to be engaging privately in the issues it has generated.”

  1. I wonder how this will affect public perception of the monarchy. Keeping a close eye!

  2. Has anyone in the royal family spoken out against the riots yet?

  3. These are Royalists rioting. The “England for the English 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿” crowd.

The King should be condemning this behavior in the strongest terms possible. I wonder why he isn’t?

  4. How passive of him. Is it really not hard to make a statement condemning hate and violence?

  5. Why can’t he simply record a video asking for peace and people to be calm

  6. He’s on his holidays in a castle, I doubt he’s that bothered. Plus he can’t say too much or interfere in politics. I’m imaging him saying “ serves them right for voting in labour.” Probably😂

  7. Do you think that these unrests could eventually lead to the end of the monarchy?

  8. That $58 million salary increase is serving the peasants well 🤡

  9. He really should make a public statement now. The BRF has made the mistake of waiting too long to say/do something in response to notable events before, and there’s literally no harm in making a statement denouncing the burning of a library and other acts of violence by the protestors.

  10. I think the royal family need to stay out of it. This is a damned if you do, damned if you don’t situation. At the most ask for people to protest peacefully but that’s as far as they need to touch this issue. It’s an issue that is too politicized and they’re supposed to remain neutral.
