“I think it’s an historic moment.”

We’ve been getting the public’s reaction to the BBC’s UK general election exit poll.

If the forecast is accurate, it means Sir Keir Starmer will become prime minister with 410 Labour MPs – 326 seats are needed for a majority.

  1. I figured the Tories would be trounced. The US has a similar pattern, we'll have up to 12 years of one party and the country gets so sick of them they go with the other party. Eg, Reagan then George H. W. Bush.

  2. Nearly everyone admitting they don't care for Labour but anything is better than a Tory government (though FFS we all known modern Labour is basically Tory 2.0) pretty much sums up the state of the country.

  3. I mean yeah everyone knew the tories were gonna go out and deserved to but jeez you could’ve interviewed who isn’t a clearly upper class payed actor

  4. All those who have never experienced a Labour government will soon realise what they have voted for, and it's not good…….this is only a projection not the actual result.

  5. Should it not for David Cameron and Boris Johnson, England wouldn’t be this bad. The Brexit thing in reality killed the economy and certainly killed Cons for good

  6. In the US I feel like not much has changed. Of the 18 years I have been working I have not been able to afford a new car and buy a house without my dad’s help. Part time employees are still not getting the benefits that full time employees get. According to a Google search in the state I live in minimum wage has been $7.25 per hour for 18 years.

  7. You wait until the tax hikes and impossible arena for corporates to do business… mass migration from the brits to Spain!!!

  8. So they’re cheering because they got a choice of which dictator they wanted 😂 the choice is an illusion and the new government will be the new puppets. It’s not like the new government comes in and changes everything the old government did…. No they add more bollocks

  9. Dunno but isn't labor why Thatcher became a part of yer history? Looks like ya ask children how life's been. I look forward to watching them invent how to pay fer their ideas! Good day

  10. Both Labour and Torries both signed the WEF Capitalist Stakeholder committments in other words ESGs … so no real choice, two traitors and no real change …

  11. 🇨🇦 working in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 in ‘97. The utter joy in young Scots at Blair’s victory, compounded by Tory wipeout in Scotland.

  12. The Tories going was necessary as they had little to show for years I'm office. Yet these people leaping for joy are simply idiots with no knowledge or experience of the realities of political life.

  13. Aye and you’re life will be massively different over the next 14 😂

Absolutely an illusion of choice but it keeps the folk entertained 😂

  14. Im 65 . It brings a smile to me. When i see the the younger generation talking like this . What they dnt know its all about cycles. Its not a revolution 17 years tory from 79 to 96 then labour 13 yrs then tory 14 years. They all finish there terms and leave the economy in a worser state than when they found it .

  15. lol the pure naive hope that things will be different now…spoiler alert..it won’t. Different regime, same level or problems. God speed

  16. The PM needs to go. Labour needs to go. He doesn't get it.
We, the British people, are sick of the below:
    The 2 tire policing
Look what happened in Leeds police run, London a picefull protest the arrest anyone and everyone.
Muslims with knives last night in Stoke stabbing 4 people, with a Muslim police officer asking them to take their weapons them back to the home. Why is he not arresting them.
The boats need to stop. The hotels need to be emptied and sent home.
    It's costing us £9m a week.
In the last month, we have had:
A soldier stabbed, a grandmother murdered, 3 little angels murdered.
    Riot in Leeds police run.
3 Police officer attacked Manchester Airport, and they have not been charged for it.
It a lot of things that make it come to this.
And to top it off, the PM says he will protect Muslims. What about the knife crime? What's causing all this
