  1. I cant change the title, sorry.
It says: Meanwhile in Norway you get a interview with Lindmo and a pat on your shoulder

  2. Yeah, money in sports is generally _en uting_. It’s a huge incentive to cheat. The Olympics and the IOC would be a lot better if it was about honour and glory, rather than $$$$$

  3. In norway you get free education and colonoscopies as public services.

  4. Different culture. Corporations in the Philippines seize the opportunity to provide gifts for their winner in return for public exposure.

  5. Obviously everyone goes to the Olympics only for the chance at a lifetime supply of colonoscopies! *(/S if that wasn’t obvious)*

  6. Vebjørn Rodal, til this day, live on and off his Olympic win in 1996. As a total I think he have cashed in way more in total

  7. We get a lot of that shit for free from childhood. Healthcare, education, and so on. The Philippines is a third world country compared to Norway. We have wages that can buy us that stuff.

  10. The man earned us our second and third ever gold medal in history with barely any support from the government and his mother stealing some of his other earned winnings from previous competitions. Whereas, Norway is a (Winter) Olympics powerhouse 😅

We Filipinos barely have any impact on the international stage so when someone gets the spotlight, we go all out to reward haha and support them (when we should have while they were at grassroots tbh)

  11. Why do people find this so strange? These athletes will spend half of their professional life until they reach the Olympics, not to mention winning a gold medal.

They deserve these rewards, and it’s the way it should be. How would you encourage young guns to start these sports? With glory and honour? Yeah, last time I checked these things cant pay the bills.

  12. I’m more of an Android person myself, so I’ll have to decline your offer.
