There might not be two-tier policing but there does seem to be [two-tier sentencing](https://edition.cnn.com/2024/07/18/climate/just-stop-oil-prison-sentence-intl-latam/index.html).
Not long enough sentences
How are these people getting sentenced so quickly?
I’ve read loads about people being on bail for 1-2 years for serious offences before getting sentenced.
These people are getting arrested and sentenced within days.
5 years for protesting the climate. 2.5 years for trashing a town in race riots 🤔
So violent disruption is worth half what you get for having a zoom meeting about non violent disruption.
I’m enjoying seeing these sentences being passed down.
I’m also enjoying that probably all of the ones they have arrested or are on the list of people they want to speak to are having to ready themselves for prison, any day now.

This guy needs arresting and charged too. He is a Labour councillor (Ricky Jones) and should know better to be inciting violence and making veiled threats.
If nothing happens and is forgotten – most likely will be – then that will just prove how two-tier our justice system really is.
Throwing people that are unhappy about government action into jail is rarely a good idea. Left or right.
Good but no one has been sentenced for the riots caused by the Romanians.
How come the rioters are tried and jailed more quickly than the man who killed the little girls?
