**LONDON, Jan 29 (Reuters)** – Britain is considering making a major NATO deployment as part of a plan to strengthen ~~Europe’s borders in response to Russia massing troops on the border with Ukraine,~~ *Boris Johnon’s chances of keeping his job,* the government said on Saturday.

Why? Nobody, anywhere, thinks for a second that they’re going to engage Russian forces directly. In fact everyone without a hard-on for cataclysm knows that they wont. Just keep them home and tell the Russians we’ll be keeping our strategic airlifters “handy”.

We don’t have the troop numbers to even project force let alone actually take the initiative in a shooting war.
Our heavy armour is outdated and there’s too few of them. Our airlift capability is degraded.
We would make up a useful strike force for a nato wide deployment using elements like honourable artillery company, SAS,SBS as ISTAR capability ahead of engagement by 144 air assault brigade et al. but without a nato wide commitment to a war fighting deployment then there would be no point other than further raising tensions and increasing the risk of an accidental engagement.
The Americans won’t go beyond posturing and placing troops on standby because a face off in Ukraine risks a shooting war which then carries on forever – something they’ve just got out of with Afghan.
All of this is Thatcher in the Falklands, there’s a crisis at home and the PM thinks talking tough will allow him to be draped in a flag for the public to adore.

Our population squeal at the thought of paying a little more in taxes. They leave their next door neighbours to die. They’re creepy weirdos who spend 5 hour train journeys in silence. Half of them are fat, useless cunts who don’t even want to go outside. Even families are turning on each other.
The moral calibre of this country is just absolutely in the sewer. We’re not patriotic; the people of the UK are nothing other than greedy, egotistical and selfish. We are a country of scumbags and degenerates. In a war against old-fashioned nationalists like Russia we would be absolutely battered from pillar to post. A one-round knockout, with looting to grab as much bling as possible the moment the first bomb fell. Let us not delude ourselves.
