Hi, I'm from Bangladesh and have decided to pursue my bachelor's studies in Germany. In Bangladesh, we can start our bachelor’s studies after 12 years of education. However, in Germany, it's 13 years, so I need to complete one year of bachelor’s studies in my home country in a subject related to the field I want to study in Germany. For some reasons, I need to complete this required year in "English Language and Literature."
But now, I want to study Economics in Germany. Would English Language and Literature count as related to Economics?
I checked the eligibility on myguide.de/en/check-your-eligibility and couldn’t find "English Language and Literature"; it only shows "English Studies." Are they the same?

Yes, English studies include English language and literature and is counted to the linguistics / philology group of subjects which is *not* related to economics.
