Illegal fireworks set off on London’s Millennium Bridge

The Globe Theatre was forced to abandon a performance of Shakespeare’s Antony and Cleopatra after a flare fired by Algerian football fans fell into the crowd.

Fans of the Mouloudia Club d’Alger had set off a barrage of red fireworks and flares from the Millennium Bridge in celebration of the club’s 103rd anniversary.

Theatregoers were evacuated from the open-air venue at 10pm on Wednesday after the misguided missile plummeted into the middle of the standing section of the theatre.

  1. If English , Scottish, Welsh or N. Irish football fans had done this they would be cast as far right yobs, racists and dangerous and immediately arrested.

  2. Once again goverments in europe are actively trying to surpress the right wing. Big parts of the population are feeling unseen and unheard. Our societies are being divided into left and right, indigenous and immigrants, christians and muslims. The media is helping grow that divide, a discrace to journalism. History is repeating and no one is doing anything about it.

  3. The scariest part is how this one short is the only video on YouTube so far covering the story, despite the usual MSM suspects creating watered-down articles on it. The bias reeks. We've been experiencing a global corporate agenda for decades now, but this last week in Britain has exposed so clearly that we are creeping into a tasteless dystopia.

  4. Britain is going to become Muslim because the population is spinless, weak and without the will to preserve it's own existence. What a loss for humanity this is going to be 😢

  5. Some people say its just fireworks…yes those are fireworks….but they could've been explosive devices and could ve been placed by someone else

  6. Fans of the Mouloudia Club of Alger?? That seems a bit random. There must be all sorts of milestones being passed by various clubs around the world all the time. I thought there was much more of an Algerian diaspora in France, why did they pick London for this celebration?

  7. So a ton of fireworks were set up on a bridge, nobody noticed.
Then all set off, closing down a load of businesses. Nobody noticed them being set off.
And it's celebrating a random 103rd birthday..103rd????? Algerian football club nobody knew about.
    And Khan says nothing.
    Labour say nothing.
    The police say nothing.
And who gets to clear up the debris?

Oh yeah. Normal day in Londonistan….

This is boiling my p now..
