Ukraine forces continue advance into Kursk region | Ukraine War

Analysts say Ukrainian troops are continuing to advance in the Russian region of Kursk.

The US-based Institute for the Study of War (ISW) said it had geolocated footage that showed Ukrainian troops seizing territory.

Russia says at least 1,000 Ukrainian troops, supported by tanks and armoured vehicles, entered its territory on Tuesday morning in what Russian president Vladimir Putin said was a “major provocation”.

Ukrainian officials have been largely silent on the offensive.

  6. Its unlikely that Ukraine wants to hold Russian territory, more likely its been done to embarrass Putin, which it has very effectively, and to force Russia to move assets further north to help Ukraine defend further south. Amazing work!

  13. Last ditch attempt to try get a better negotiating position on the peace table. But have used everything they have, but did an Israeli move and its be stabilized within 2 weeks meantime Ukrainian gov has asked pro Ukrainian mappers not to update losses of territory in the east to give the impression the front lines are stable, overnight another attack was carried out across the southern denipro south of Odessa which again failed and considerable losses were taken by the Ukrainians who had no choice but to turn back. look forward to the next 24 months. as the Russians carve up whats left of the Ukrainian propaganda army after captured Ukrainian forces disclose their orders was to enter the territory for photo and video purposes.

  37. It won't win them the war. It's an effective PR stunt. And the US and western countries helped them. Ukraine is useless without western help with ISR.

  38. The thing is that russia not only has all their sources in Ukraine, but they don't have any tanks active in Russia, they barely managed to send very old light tanks from post WWII cold era. Type 62 and sht. Really… Ukraine could push Moscow but Ukraine doesn't have the ammount of resources to hold any massive ammounts of land, not even close. But just like Wagner could push Moscow, right now Ukraine could. Specially with the F16s, even if they don't have land attack capability, air support is enough.
