1. The russians claim that some GUR guys got killed there, on the pictures they released nobody is wearing Night vision, which is weird since it was a night raid

2. Any russian artillery howitzers that have range on the most western village of the region would automatically be in range of ukrainian artillery on the right bank of the dnieper. I don’t think Ukraine has the manpower right now to launch a small invasion but it’s a very well defendable region when ukraine controls it only vulnerable to aviation from the south and missile strikes.

3. Why the hell were they attacking in broad daylight.

I had a boxing coach a loooong time ago that really liked variable height combos – head jab, right hook to the body, left hook to the head, right cross at the gloves, uppercut to the head, etc. You mix up an attack to create confusion and force your opponent to react because they can’t defend everything at once. Ukraine is just hitting everywhere at once and the Russians just can’t react to everything. It’s just a constant dilemma, and all the response options are terrible, because the next attack is coming elsewhere.
