I get the principle. But just surprised with people in this NHS providing care to choosing this hill to die on.
Conservatives bring in vaccine mandate in NHS England
Thousands of staff refuse
Thousands of staff leave
People call them anti-vaxxers and jeer
Conservatives cut NHS England staffing levels and people are lapping it up
Do I have this right?
Short staffed NHS should not sack anyone for refusing to be vaccinated because the situation is already dire as it is. Can’t believe people think it would be a good idea to sack them. You can think all you like that they should be vaccinated, but don’t force essential staff out the door. They worked when there was NO VACCINE available. Nobody was vaccinated and NHS workers provided the care. They should U-turn on this decision.
I just don’t understand why you wouldn’t.
For example, say you get covid, but you suffer 2 weeks of serious flu symptoms without the jab, but only mild cold symptoms for 3-4days with the jab, SURELY you’d be putting more strain on your work place and colleagues because you’re out of work for longer without the jab?
Also, do these NHSers not like traveling? A lot of countries only allow Vaccinated people into their country now. Do NHSers not want to travel and enjoy holidays abroad any time soon?
These two are very simple situations but why wouldn’t you get the jab just for these two simple things?
They were safe enough during the height of Covid that people LINED THE streets to clap for them, only now with 80% vaccinated, suddenly the people don’t support them.

I’m amazed I get to see in real time how this Subreddit swap sides.
“I’m not an anti-vaxxer“ says the person refusing to get the vaccine for ill-informed reasons.
Believes Covid is less of a risk than the vaccine – wrong
Believes it doesn’t reduce transmission of the virus – wrong
Both these opinions are factually inaccurate and it’s easy to verify that provided you discount the crackpot ranters who have nothing to back their claims up.
The fact you are willing to refute actual medical facts with demonstrably false opinions provides a compelling case for why perhaps you ought not to be a nurse, without even considering the bodily autonomy issue.
