So I have this email today which informed me that I used 28kwh of heating in July which is summer, and all my heaters in my apartment were off so I don’t understand what’s going on.. Could somebody please explain?

Seeing a high heating usage in July when your heaters were off is weird. It could be a meter error or maybe the meter’s picking up someone else’s usage if it’s shared. Sometimes, heating systems have a low-level operation even when off, like for maintenance, but that shouldn’t cause such a high reading. It might also be a mistake from previous months that’s showing up now. Best thing to do is contact your energy provider and ask them to check the meter and clarify what’s going on.
