Not a big character in Kalevala, but the lord of Pohjala (husband of Luohi) has a small but epic moment when fighting Lemminkäinen. Lemminkäinen is coming to crash a party (I think the wedding of väinämöinen and the maiden but can’t remember exactly). He has an epic battle with the lord, where they both summon animals that fight each other. The lord summons a bull, a pine marten and a cock. Then he attacks with his flaming sword. This all sounds really threatening but Lemminkäinen slices off his head with one swipe.

About the names – the placename is Pohjola, and the ruler is called Louhi. Cool art still!
Art looks nice, but the vibe is more Norse than Finnic.
