  4. Except Hungarians love it in the EU. They wouldn’t just decide overnight they wanted to quit, so the government would need to work real hard to justify it. In a more real scenario, this could simply be the line the people drew for Orban.

  30. Geopolitically it doesnt make any sense to let Hungary leave the EU. Like it or not, that land is important for logistics. Besides, there is no procedure to kick a member EU country out of the EU, and EU exit is not popular with hungarians.

    We have a russian collusion problem with Hungarian government, which means, no intelligence should be shared with Hungary, Hungary should be stripped off grom its voting rights in the EU and all EU funding should be postponed indefinitely. And yes, given the latest Hungarian policy of welcoming russian, belarussian and chinese nationals, it should be excluded from the Schengen area.

  33. Why are so many people here calling for this to happen, as if alienating a state is a good thing. It’s one thing to despise a regime or politician and another to call for an absolute logistical clusterfuck that could spell bad news for both the nation **and** for the EU.
