As a very last-minute idea for my holidays, I've decided to walk the Heidschnuckenweg trail in northern Germany starting next week. I love walking and hiking, and I'll be doubling up on some of the stages. I'm from another country and, unfortunately, don't speak the language. Based on my not-so-thorough internet search (number of posts, discussions, comments, etc.), I get the impression that the trail isn't super popular. Have any of you ever walked it? Any particular thoughts or comments you'd like to share? I've printed the dedicated hiking pass and plan on collecting the stamps along the way! 🙂

  1. Its more forresty than heathy, but it covers all the hits and touches the railway net on various occasions so its easy to hop on hop off with public transport. And there are quite a lot small hotels along. I can very much recommend it.
