In other news 25% of takeaways are wondering what they are doing wrong.
I knew there was a reason that I don’t have takeaway three times a day, seven days a week…
Bloody hell and I thought getting a take away was good for me, need to rethink my life choices after this article has opened my eyes
There’s definitely a gap in the market for late night healthy takeaway.
We often late back late from adventures and would kill for decent food delivered!
The margins probably don’t work out though.
What the hell is the 25% that *is* healthy, and how can I make sure I avoid it?
Did we need a study to tell us that takeaways and restaurant food are unhealthy?
Chicken shish with undressed salad and a bit of chilli sauce is a pretty decent healthy takeaway .
Obviously it’s the garlic sauce , chips and 8 pints where I’m going wrong
Did we really need a survey to determine mcdonald’s and subway is really unhealthy??
Methinks someone is trying to justify their budget.
At least that’s the only reason I can see for needing a study like this.
We didn’t need a study to tell us this… But I wouldn’t mind finding out what’s included in that 25%.
Lies and slander. Kebabs are perfection and I will hear no different.
Do you mean my pizza that is dripping with grease is bad for me? I’m shocked… Shocked… Well, not that shocked.
*Finishes stuffing family sized pizza into mouth*
What do you mean it isn’t healthy?
What a useless fucking study. Of course the stuff people eat from takeaways is full of unhealthy shit, that’s why it tastes good.
Just watch, they’re going to use this study as justification to create a ‘national conversation’ on actioning against these foods. They’ll place a special tax on meal options that cross certain nutritional limits, and they’ll impose new restrictions on allowed nutritional content which will lead to price increases.
The whole aim will be to force regular people to stop eating these foods by making them too expensive to buy, but because the desire to eat such addictive foods is so strong, people are going to buy them anyway but they’ll just be slowly forced into poverty in the process.
Ordering in healthy food sounds like the worst thing ever.
>More than 75%
So don’t worry too much people, it could be 100%.
What is *with* these studies stating the bleeding obvious?
This is why everyone in the country looks like a weeble.
It’s the level of unhealthiness that is often what is eye opening.
In 2020 a court in Ireland ruled that subway bread isn’t bread but should be classified as confectionery (cake/biscuit) because of how much sugar is in it 6inch has 5g sugar). A McDonald’s Big Mac bun has even more (nearly 6g)
I just assumed it was 100% so this is good news. I’ll assume that KFC is in the 25%
That’s what makes it so good when ordering a takeaway.
One of these days all this fast food will be banned.
McDonald’s, KFC, Burger King will likely be in trouble for causing obesity etc. Which will no doubt include unlimited fines.
It’s just the way society is heading.
I do understand that it’s considered as an individual choice to make decisions about eating healthy foods, but it appears some of the ingredients are harmful and addictive.
The word “unhealthy” is wildly subjective. A 14” pizza is too much for a 55kg OAP but a fine amount of food for a young active athletic person. There is no amount of fat, sugar or calories that can unequivocally “damage your health”. Has anyone actually met the average person who needs 2000kcal a day?
Articles and research like this are completely idiotic and a waste of money
And here’s me thinking the sweet and sour chicken balls, beef in black bean sauce and salt and pepper chips I ordered for tonight were fucking healthy.
While I do appreciate there’s some irony in me sitting at KFC reading this, I’m not sure what the article calls unhealthy is actually unhealthy.
Yes, don’t eat too much fat, sugar, and calories. It’s not a good idea.
But you also don’t have to eat every meal from one of these places. Whether a burger is bad for you depends on what you do the rest of the time as well.
I would only say it’s really bad if you can only buy more calories than you need for the day in the meal, which is mentioned, and that composition is not balanced.
…and who owns the takeaways? Do they eat their own takeaway food? Interesting.
Wait, so you’re telling me the donner pizza with extra cheese, pepperoni, spicy beef and stuffed crust isn’t classed as a salad?! I feel so mislead
75% I was expecting it to be higher…
What’s the 25%?! I’ll get that please.
Eh lol? I thought takeaway was super healthy and we should eat it 3 X a day.
Flavour comes from fat and salt, and maybe MSG.
You can eat out healthily but it won’t be as tasty, even vegetarian or vegan options.
Damn I thought shredded chicken meant I’d get shredded…
