  1. An anomaly now but unfortunately this will be called the new normal

  2. New anomaly every week baby! You never get bored. Will it be scorching hot? Will there be biblical amounts of rain? Or will you freeze your balls off? Stay tuned to find out!

  3. There is supposed to be 32 degrees on Monday in NRW in Germany …finally. That’s not anomalous, it would be if it was like that for 2 months straight but it is only going to be 2 days and then back to 22.

Summer this year sucked so far, couple of days of high 20s and a week or so of 19-21.

  4. Can’t wait for the 18 of August that I feel some refreshing coldness

  5. Gotta love global warming and frequent “weather anomalies”

  6. Central and Eastern Europe Will be hot. Good luck from Portugal, my friends.

  7. Sorry but this is a very shitty weather forecast graph I see too often to not emphasize that there is room for improvement.

Here are the problems I’ve identified so far :

    * *2 m temperature Anomaly* : What does ‘2 m’ stands for ? It is probably accompanied with some more explaination but in a single pic like this, it just doesnt work.
    * *1979-2010 climatology* : If it is a graph about next week, why isn’t it called 1979-2024 ? I guess it is still a question of implied semantics
    * *The scale* : Spaces are homogenized, while after a ‘-12/12 anomaly’ sequenced every value equal to 2, we switch to a value equal to 4.
    * *Value type annotation* (hell this one is probably the worst here) : I guess the scale value stands for C°, but again, even if it is already specified in your title, you must recall it in the abscissa.
    * *Color choice* : From -10 to 10 I can understand those choices but after ?? Why not spread more of these same colors across the entire scale? Green isn’t colder than violet, just as pink isn’t warmer than yellow.
    * Datas precisions : From various other sources of regional forecast, some informations here are doubtful. 50 years then, we could have from where I live some days at 25°C, and the graph shows that we should wait a +12°C anomaly on a specific day ? That would mean 37°C. Where it has been stated that we would experiment that day at **max 32°C but could be 22°C min.**

  8. Don’t tell the Enterprise. They will go nuts over this, but can’t help us due the prime directive.

  9. I was like – not *four* heat waves this summer, surely…

  10. Patiently waiting for that moment when people are going to realize that we should have stopped talking about anomalies years ago. This is simply the new “normal”.

Buckle up buckeroos, we are in for a fucking wiiiiild century

  11. This anomaly is what we generally refer to as ‘summer’ … 😂

  12. Monday is 34 in Belgium and I don’t have an AC

    kill me:(((((

  13. Would it be so hard to include our Northern European countries in these maps of Europe or did we suddenly get banished from the continent

  14. I don’t understand this map, judging by the scale below I understand there will be sub zero temperatures in Poland? I don’t think I’m reading it right

  15. Great for people on the Camino de santiago. The Meseta part is usually hell on Earth, but now its blue

  16. Finally only Eastern Europe and the Balkans arent suffering for the continent

  17. As usual my area (Central Scandinavia) is cut off from the map but a huge chunk of North Africa is included…

  18. Oh look, it’s actually colder on the map than in the reality. WTF would someone even post this rubbish?
