IOC president Thomas Bach plans to leave office next year. He says the Olympics needs a change

3. What you think he means: we should not let russia and their puppet state belarus participate, while they’re trying to erase their neighbor from existence and ethnically cleanse its people.

   What he actually means: we totally will let them participate again, just need to update the price list.

6. It was an issue before his term, and it remains an issue as his term will come to it’s end. The whole universe of “international sport” is full of corruption. It’s a contest to see who is less of a douche, Samaranch had his scandals, Rogge had a ton of scandals, Bach had his. The way to clean things up would be transparency, communication, and openness but they consider themselves royalty and would never open up even if it means the events as an ongoing concern are just kind of slowly declining and decaying in prominence as time passes.
