Christopher Columbus, in search of financing for his trip, was in Salamanca in 1486. He came following the Court and wanted to make known to Kings Isabella and Ferdinand his project to travel to the Indies by a shorter route, second visit of Christopher Columbus. at Christmas of that year of 1486 in Salamanca explaining how to get to the Indies by sea to a Salamanca Board.
