7. This may be a trap like the one Israel laid for the palestinans, a Israeli security lapse 'allowed' an invasion by Hamas that led to the genocide of the palestinians. Now Ukraine has undertaken an invasion of Russia, having already claimed at the UN to have been invaded by Russia. Russia invaded because it said Ukraine was a threat to its security. Russia has been proved right with this invasion. Russia has the upper hand now in this argument since Ukraine is terrorising its people and invading its territory. The next move is an greement between both, which will leave the west poorer, or an all out war.

We’ve been clear on Russia’s land grab being going against the UN Charter, international law, etc, so how about backing those words with actions?

19. To me it's strange nobody, including Russia, is talking about nuclear weapons. The USSR had their version of the DEFCON doomsday protocols and they mention national territorial integrity. Something must have changed, for the us to be encouraging the Ukrainians to this extent when 3 years ago they were threatening with nukes for simple sanctions. I hope Ukraine can use these regions as bargaining chips to return to the status quo before 2014
