Unheard of for Labour to be ahead of the Tories on managing the economy – 6 points is the lowest lead for the Tories on the issue since Blair I think.
In other pollsters, Labour’s ahead on immigration, crime, and the covid pandemic, whilst holding onto its NHS lead, poverty, housing, education, etc.
These are things Milliband never ever got, also ignoring the fact he had much worse polling figures personally than Starmer, and also that not once did he poll ahead of Cameron on the best PM metric, unlike Starmer, who’s polled ahead on it on a regular basis.
I’d vote a dead cat to do a better job than the current lot. Labour? Any day of the week.
Leadership or lack of is what makes them so unattractive. Says a lot when you look at the state of the Tory leadership.
Labour are the government in waiting.
They couldn’t govern they’re way out of a wet paper bag
Lets see what ‘20-20 Starmer’ does in predicting whats coming up by way of challenges….
The Israelis for one will love him. He is very pro-Israeli.
Plenty of people want labour in. People just don’t want Starmer in.
All sounds very positive, and the chance of ousting this truly awful and dangerous government should be met with positivity.
But I’m sure Labour will find a way to squabble among themselves and sabotage any election chances they have…
Depends…. At momment. No.
I have about as much faith in Starmer than i do Borris to be honest.
Which is extremly little.
Theirs very few id honestly trust in politcs right now.
Some are less bad than others but… Honestly trust , no.
Why give to Labor and them taking a big fall for all the mess? Why not play the long game and give the Conservatives another 10 years and let them crash further to the point of being unelectable for generations to come? Won’t that be a better strategy?
Someone said the words of doom… Labour running the country!
Now, as if by magic the polarised extremes of the party will appear and kick off an internal holy war for the soul of the labour movement.
Those members and voters in the middle will groan as they see their change to run the country slip away yet again.
The public will scream internally at the mess being made and the desperate need for an electable opposition.
The conservatives of course laugh at yet another lockdown party and feel the warm sense of certainty spreading over them as they relish the fact that all they have to do is be better than that shitshow and they’ve got another term in office.
It will be interesting to see if the opinion polls remain steady over the next year or two as we’ve had about a month of 9-10 point leads alongside a barrage of negative tory press. If the tories get their act together with a new leader it could all slowly (& unfortunately) swing back to them. Having said that, the economic situation and a GE being a few years off could mean it actually gets worse for the tories. They capitalised on the last economic downturn to get back into power, now it could be labour’s turn again 🤞
Their all Weasley little liars who jump ship as soon as someone so much as farts! ( I’m referring to all parties) None of them can lead by example, or truly stand for anything, it’s always the path of least resistance, just a bunch of big knob heads with no knobs
Not sure that Labour can govern.
But people should be more concerned that Conservative obviously can’t and that didn’t stop them.
We spent all the money there is none left.
Remember Labour s last attempt?
Bankrupt.
No thanks!!!!
Just because the Tories are a bloody joke doesn’t mean we want the anti British commies in power. Vote 3rd party people let’s break the Lab/Con cycle.
I would like to vote Labour but Starmer is about as useful as a wet lettuce. Actually the wet lettuce is more useful; I can eat that.
