Boo hoo you got the actual desert and cried it was too harsh
Time to switch it up, let’s have a new one called Freezing Man and host it in Antarctica while it’s still there.
People are probably just not interested in the Uber rich “encampments” that get setup in the middle of it, and then leave their trash behind.
The celebrities ruined this entire thing in the last few years.
Another victim of its own success
“Several people have told me they won’t come back without something air-conditioned.”
Ummm then what’s the damn point? Go to Vegas.
I’ve always wanted to go to Burning Man but I have a job to work like some asshole
Hard to burn anything sloppy
Woo hoo….first class hippie wannabes.
I think 3000 of us should go with 30,000 water balloons and ruin it again.
Victim of its own success, “too many” ppl ruin everything eventually. 2023 was so godawful..the trauma of it is still fresh in ppls minds, I wouldn’t want to go back either.
I used to help rent trailers for burning man. Unless you have been, you cannot imagine the sheet number of 18 wheelers and equipment required to make this happen. Like for a month before the event and after the event. That being said go if you can, it is incredible! The Man was never about the hippie lifestyle.
Who even wants to go get high in the middle of a desert anymore? Like come on guys, the people that go to burning man are old and these kids know they can safely do their psychedelics at home
I’m going to the burn after taking a few years off, the farce that this event has ever been anything other than wealth is funny to me. Like it’s expensive AF to set up a temporary city in the desert.
Also – they always sell out at first and then there’s a flood of tickets available.
You get what you want out of the event – it’s a celebration of human hubris and art. I am looking forward to going back.
This never looked appealing to me. I found it kind of funny what happened last year. All these rich dude paid to trap themselves in the desert for thousands of dollars.. have fun?
i’m guessing OG burners are probably happy about this.
When you’re poor and creative, everyday is burning man.
This is a great example of the rich who want to read a creatively and soulfully Rich life but they don’t know how, the don’t “get it”
I went in 2000. All comments here was what I heard after the event back then, but I’m sure it’s more true now. Year of the body was wild for what was thought of the end-of-the-world times and Y2K bug.
I stopped going after 2022. It’s just not the same vibe anymore.
Everything’s expensive nowadays.
So either save up for rent next month or go to Burning Man and risk getting evicted.
Recession, recession, recession.
Good, more room for the people actually committed to the idea instead of techbro luxury camps. Don’t let the door hit your ass on the way out
