  2. For the uninformed – why is this art considered so valuable? It almost looks like it’s been spray painted or printed?

    Sorry but don’t mean to sound condescending but just wanted to understand if banksy’s art was actually what we can call traditional paintings ?

  3. Looking forward to City Police completely ignoring any perceived value of this and just scrapping it.

    Everybody wins: City get to say “graffiti is illegal and this is vandalism and we’re rich enough not to care”; Banksy gets to live another day as a persecuted folk artist; and the public get to have an opinion on the preservation of the art that they wouldn’t normally have, let alone voice, thus participating in the cultural conversation.

    Well done, Banky. You’ve done it again!

  4. not sure if this is a popular opinion, but i’ve found this recent set of animal works really uninspiring. banksy’s previous art would often include a joke or piece of political commentary. i don’t know why he’s just rolling around london drawing fish and cats
