7. Hungary historically has a great ratio of medals per capita on population, one of the reasons is they have a great tradition in sports where one athlete can win multiple medals.

   Like canoeing (#1 in most medals in world championships) and fencing (#3 in most medals in world championships) and swimming (#7 in most medals in world championships).

   They will always punch above their weight in medals if they keep dominating these sports!

   Congrats Hungary! 🙌 🇭🇺

9. Finland for the 1st time ever without any medal.

   Turkey with 0 golds is also a surprise.

    And btw there is a totally “neutral” Olympic Champion from Belarus.

11. Ngl, as a Polish person – watching this Olympics certainly wasn’t the most satisfying and fulfilling experience that one could imagine. To say the least. It was painful to watch sometimes
    Especially the Athletics part. In Tokyo we got 9 medals, including 4 golds. Here we have got……1 (and 0 golds). That shows a lot

    Though on a positive note – it still isn’t as bad as the map makes it out to be (luckily). We have got 4 silvers and 5 bronzes. So that’s something at least.
