Zelenskyy confirms Ukraine’s offensive inside Russia’s Kursk region

The Kursk region of Russia is no stranger to war. Some of the fiercest battles of World War Two were fought on its dark soil. President Zelensky has confirmed for the first time that it is the Ukrainian military advancing there.

It appears the incursion by Ukraine is aimed at destabilising Putin and his military command. For its part Russia is promising a “tough response” to an incursion it says makes “no sense” from a military point of view.

  23. Putin is playing the long game. He thinks if it goes on long enough, Ukraine will run out of manpower, or the west will stop giving support and weapons. Ukraine need to shake things up and end this war on the best possible terms within the next 18 months.

  34. As an American Taxpayer and Citizen I think that Zelensky does what Davos and Brussel's tells him to do. I support Ukraine but certainly not when Zelensky has killed many of his fellow pro-RUssian Ukrainians at the start of this war. You just know that Zelensky is beyond sick ideology when he is a Jew but he used his fellow Neo-Nazi's to kill all those Pro-Russian Ukrainians. I hope that Z-boy fill face true Justice and crimes against his own Ukrainians. He certainly does NOT serve Ukraine never has.

  42. This is not escalation…. its a full scale war! Ukraine needs to fight it however they deem fit and appropriate. Western countries trying to micro-manage Ukraine’s military responses is just wrong.
