Russia hasn’t been able to defeat relatively diminutive Ukraine. Germany has the full backing of NATO. Even Putin isn’t that stupid.

Let’s face it Russia has been proven to be a paper tiger and not actually very good at war. Germany should be ready but if they really want to break Russia we should have imposed a trade embargo on their energy trades already.

US civil behavior to Germany after WWII is still paying dividends: Russian brutality to Germans not to mention treating East Germany like a tribute state is still remembered.
Germany is already “ready” in a sense that there is stockpiles, command structures and regular trainings in case the Bundeswehr gets called to defend our country. There is even plans in place for which industrial companies in what region get to produce war materials from day one of a mobilization.
Yeah we are not really fast right now with producing amunition for Ukraine, but lets not forget that our industry isn’t mobilized at all, yet. Like, we are doing this with what amounts to spare change in the national budget.
If any country, especially russia, really thinks Germany isn’t ready to defend itself or its allies, they are idiots, pure and simple.
Yeah at this point it is not a coincidence anymore. This is the 5th time allready a high ranking person said we must prepare for war.
Or, you can send stop wringing your hands, send Taurus missiles to Ukraine, and you won’t ever have to fight Russia. Grow a pair and save a trillion Euros.
