Guaranteed those reactors are cold, And they staged the fires so they could say Ukraine did it they’re trying to make Russia radioactive. And so that they can also nuke places if they need to (or threaten to without any backlash because Ukraine did it first)

  21. This is so over the top theatrical that it’s hilarous; there’s nothing in a cooling tower that could burn, but if you drag a pile of tires inside one and set them on fire you will easily get an impressive smoke column because of the great convection inside one of those.

    Since they are placed a distance from the actual reactors there’s probably no risk of the fire spreading, but I guess the heat might make the tower inoperable so the plant can’t be restared before it’s been repaired.
