Bangladesh protesters expect interim government to be finalised on Wednesday • FRANCE 24 English
Bangladesh’s Nobel-winning microfinance pioneer Muhammad Yunus will lead an interim government after mass protests forced longtime prime minister Sheikh Hasina to flee, the presidency announced Wednesday. The interim government is expected to hold elections soon after taking charge, while a spokesperson for Yunus said he would arrive in Dhaka on Thursday after a medical procedure in Paris.
