The answer is no.
Renewables with storage is cheaper, easier to stand up, more distributed/reliable, less hazardous to deal with, requires less expensive regular refurbishment, and requires less specialized expertise (driving down costs as many vendors are in the space).
Nuclear’s 15 minutes of fame is up.
We need an all of the above approach. Solar, wind, batteries, geothermal, hydro, fission, etc. it should be all hands on deck to tackle this climate crisis we’re experiencing.
