  1. Other than Whitney Houston, Robin’s death shocked me numb. I was like “no, they have to be reporting this incorrectly”.

  2. There’s been a few days in my life when I’ll always remember where I was when an event took place. I can recall vividly where I was when 9/11 happened. I remember being on set when the news broke of Williams’ death. For as funny as Williams was, he was more importantly a good human being. He would write into his deal that a studio would have to hire a certain number of homeless people on any show he was involved in. He believed and wanted to help people less fortunate than him, and he used power to champion this initiative.

  3. 10 years? I refuse to believe that. I think someone misspelled months

  4. That has to be a typo, right? Time surely doesn’t fly that fast.

  5. My favorite Robin Williams moment has to be this bit from the [*Mork and Mindy* Wikipedia article](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mork_%26_Mindy) about his audition for the Mork role for producer Garry Marshall:

“When Williams was asked to take a seat at the audition, he sat on his head, and Marshall cast him on the spot, later wryly commenting that Williams was the only alien who auditioned.”

My favorite film roles of Williams are those he portrayed in *Dead Poets Society* (1989), *Awakenings* (1990), and *Good Will Hunting* (1997).

  6. I remember driving down the road when I heard this news on the radio. Felt gutted. Still watch his movies today and wish he was still around.

  7. Last night I watched him in Insomnia, where he plays a creepy, intelligent murderer. Great and unusual performance from him. I was thinking about how long it had been…

Still shocked today to find it’s ten whole years. Rest in peace.

  8. I have a VHS tape of [Robin swimming with Dolphins](https://youtu.be/q4xSJiZA1Rg?si=PDWqf_xUL-ZuMOlP)- as part of a series with celebrities meeting and getting to know wild animals more intimately. There’s nothing more heart warming and tear jerking than seeing Robin just being such a wholesome and funny person.. RIP

  9. I remember watching The Birdcage on tv after hearing about his death 10 years ago.

  10. This is rough. My husband died that same year at 28. I want to burrow into a hole seeing all these reminders. It felt like we lost so much. Rip Robin. Rip Vinnie, babe.

  11. It’s been 10 years?! I remember the shock of the news as if, it were yesterday.

  12. Watched Death to Smoochy tonight. Such a once in a lifetime personality. We were lucky to have him while we did.
