  1. biden was on fire in this interview compared to all the ones in july

  2. History will look very kindly on him for this decision. This should give him a lot of solace, if he cares at all about his legacy.

  3. So sanctimonious after he completely ate shit in that debate

  4. I know it overall doesn’t make much of a difference, but I am curious *when* the decision came; I kind of doubt that it was a sudden spur-of-the-moment thing; I also doubt that the fact he tested positive for COVID about a day after saying something about how he’d drop out if a health condition came up was part of it (especially as he reportedly tested negative again a few days later; nothing that was reported in that time frame suggested it was having a significant impact).

And by extension, whose words were the ones that ultimately convinced him. Sure, it would have been a culmination of people saying he should drop out, but different people have a different amount of influence.

Regardless, his decision to step aside may end up being one of the most significant actions a president & presidential candidate has taken in decades.

  5. We’ll be telling our grandchildren exactly where we were when we heard the news that Biden put his country before his ego.

  6. This isn’t news. We know he dropped out because it was best for the country, and he’s a man who cares about what is best for the country. He did it for multiple reasons, this one amongst them. We know. We get it.

  7. It’s a bizarre fight for the soul of the country, I hate this damn timeline.

  8. Democrats need to develop collective amnesia as to Bidens existence, the polls, midterms, special elections, have shown for a long time that he was the problem people want to vote for something, not just against Trump. We won’t go back, Biden is the past, time for a new vision, new future.

  9. Just to clarify. It’s ok to have a nomination, have people vote for it, then change it with no issues as long as one of the original pieces still exists?

It sounds very sketchy and creates a huge precident.

  10. I really hope that once he retires he lives long enough to not go to Trump’s funeral.

  11. And you guys were calling him arrogant and even worse things while the press dog-piled him over the debate.

  12. Yes, but that debate also showed he absolutely doesn’t have 4 more years of Presidency in him. Certainly not as an effective one at least…

  13. Sane people don’t want another 4 years of that convicted felon.

  14. Biden drops out because he’s too demented to have a chance to beat trump lol. Say it how it is.

  15. “In shocking revelation, Republican campaign team unable to deny embarassing accusations levied against Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance.”

  16. Don-Old cannot process the idea of Biden stepping down “for the good of the country” since he and the christo fascists are trying to get elected and then never relinquish power.

The GQP keeps trying to pivot to attack Harris, but Trump can’t seem accept that the game had changed e.g. his fantasy that Biden is going to jump onto the stage at the convention and seize the nomination.

This ass clown is not fit to walk outside unsupervised let alone serve as potus.

  17. Biden didn’t drop out, he was forced out by the Democrats and Kamala.

  18. Harris has a fighting chance. Biden did the thing few politicians ever do.
