The Russian Armed Forces are bombing the Kursk region with bombs marked “For the Kursk region”.

  1. Ukraine does the same, I know they aren’t invading Russia for no reason yadayada but it’s not that weird.

  2. …I hate to be picky, russians, but generally speaking those sorts of sentiments written on weaponry are saved for avenging victims of war crimes and/or unprovoked violence. Neither of which apply here. But have fun bombing your own land, or what used to be your own land as of a few days ago, I guess.

  3. Well, they are not wrong…

The bombs they mark “For the Kursk region” is used in the Kursk region.

    Thus the statement is true.

  4. The orcs proving once again that they not only don’t care about their own people but hold them in open contempt.

  5. It’s probably more of an allocation label than it is a “revenge” label. The bombs were likely meant to be delivered to the Kursk region for depot but ended up being sent via airmail rather than truck as originally intended.

  6. Do they understand it’s supposed to be a joke, a troll, or at least something witty? Do they think that is funny and/or clever?

Because it seems like they are trolling themselves on top of bombing themselves… Well done I guess 🤷🏼‍♂️

  7. Guys, it seems some of you have misunderstood the ambiguous translation. These improvised inscriptions do not mean “<Intended> for Kursk/Korenevo/Sudzha!”, the “for” in them is used in the sense of “<IN REVENGE> for Kursk/Korenevo/Sudzha!” or “TO AVENGE” Kursk/Korenevo/Sudzha!”, whatever is a better English translaiton. So all your guesses about logistics labels etc. are totally wrong cause the translation is misleading. I’m afraid this Twitter user did it intentionally to generate more ‘engagement’ 🙁 Cause most English-speaking Ukrainians understand this frequently encountered ambiguity of “for” meaning “intended for” vs. “for” meaning “Get this for <ruining/capturing/whatever> Sudzha, you bastards!”

Most likely they will bomb Ukrainian territory with them. But if they do bomb Russian territory then yeah there will be big irony in avenging Kursk region by bombing Kursk region.

  8. Evidence for bombs with that written on it, not bombing Kursk with bombs with that written on it.

  9. …that explains the many bombs that hit in Belgorod before this liberation.
Maybe they were destination marked as well…👍

  10. I saw before that someone raised a really good point about how this maneuver would force the Russians to choose whether or not to use their own destructive tactics against their own people. Looks like they made their choice. If their people have bought the propaganda so far, it wouldn’t be surprising if they bought some line about how wiping Russian villages of the face of the Earth is a good thing. I doubt the line would work on the people whose homes are actually being destroyed though.

  11. “How dare you lose to the Ukranians, prepare to be bombed!” russia probably.
