5. Whats the general consensus on Musiala’s position this season? Do move him to LW to see if it works in order to open space up for an attacking mid like Xavi/Wirtz next season? My only problem with that is.. whos gonna play attacking mid this season?

6. For me even if Coman leaves I don’t mind number of our players in attacking winger position. I still count Tel as one of the main options there and if I had to choose between Doue and Tel I’d like to give more chances to Tel.

   Yeah, I know ppl were saying Doue can also play as an 8, but 8 is the position we don’t need anyone.

7. This is such bullshit. The current team is made for Tuchel more than Kompany.

   Neither Kim nor Uppa are cut out to be the defenders Kompany needs. I watched a lot of Burnley last year. I saw them out pass major teams just to lose from trying to play it out the back to naively.

   He is modeling himself a bit after Pep. Pep has 4 guys in that team that can either finish a chance or make an amazing pass. Whether that’s Silva, Rodri, Foden or De Bruyne.

   We have absolutely nobody in that role apart from Kane. Kane can make that pass but to who?! You guys believe Sane, Gnabry or Musiala will finish that and score. all of them are inconsistent in that area and in not any way amazing passers.

   We needed Xavi type of player badly. And just cuz Kimmich had one good game in midfield in 2 years people the he is the savior.

   And we put all faith in a very talented player Olise that hasn’t stayed healthy one season.

   This is so fucking poor planing.

   Yes I do have high hopes for Tel but De Ligt transfer is not justified in any sense.

Im honestly confused why so many people are devastated that we missed out on a 19 year old “potential” that would have been extremely expensive for what he has shown so far, and honestly we didnt have any need for, or space for. It was always a luxury transfer from the start, especially when for the same money you could have had Williams or slightly more expensive, a Simons, which are much further in their development, and you can be more certain what youre getting, even Tel, whos the same age, is IMO more established. Im for once rejoice, that money will be better invested in the extensions of Kimmich and Musiala and in the persuit of Wirtz. So yeah, this will be an unpopular opinion, but like I’ve been saying from the get go, the best one in the long run.

9. So basically this is the team we’re going into next season, hopefully without Coman at least but I seriously doubt he’s going anywhere. I think it’s very unlikely we’re going to sign anyone else, except maybe Tah. Feels bad that Doue is not coming, he had that creativity in him that we sometimes lack but anyway, let’s Olise and pray.

14. Now that we missed out on 2 potential AM targets, I think we can / should seriously look at a 3 man midfield. Especially if we end up not being able to offload Goretzka.

    In a 3-man midfield we would have:

    LW: Musiala, Sane, Tel

    ST: Kane, Tel, Muller

    RW: Olise, Gnabry

    Then our midfield would be:

    Kimmich / Goretzka

    Pahlinha / Laimer

    Pavlovic / Guerreiro

16. People act like Doué would have been the signing to win us everything next season. He is a talented player and a promising future prospect, but he isn’t anywhere close to the outrage by some in this reddit.

    Comments like “worst window ever,” “Bayern finished,” or “trophyless season incoming” are absolutely reactionary and funny.

    And btw, Mazroui and DeLigt didn’t get sold because of the Doué signing, because they were selling candidates anyway ffs

    Subs: Tel, Pavlović, Itō, Boey, Guerrero, Laimer, Müller, Gnabry, Dier, Vidović, Ulreich + Buchmann, Irankunda, Ibrahimovic, etc.

    Every position is covered. We don’t really even need to replace Davies if we sell him.

    Haven’t heard of him before reading about it here. Didn’t see much of him at Olympia. We will live without him, still hyped for the season for Olise alone.

23. Another option there is versatile up front and is very creative with great passing would be Bernardo Silva.

    Question is whether he, city and us are open for a loan move or city is willing to negotiate a cheapish transfer for like 35M.

24. Our new kits are such a massive upgrade on last season. Although I liked the floral CL kit (cursed as it was), the home and away were absolutely shambolic and especially the home kit should never have gotten past the drawing board. Adidas tried to honour a vintage kit and just made us look like an unlicensed red bull knock off.

    Anyway, just ordered a Müller CL kit. Not sure who to get on the away, I’m thinking either Bambi or Olise?

    I guess it’s just a reshuffle of the areas we’ve invested in. However – wasn’t the goal to bring the wage bill down 20% by next year?

    With the extensions of Musiala, Kimmich, Sane… departures of Muller and Neuer… how do we realistically reduce the wage bill by 20% next year if we don’t even make a dent in it this year

35. Even if I am ok not signing another attacking midfielder with our depth in that department, still selling both Maz an de Ligt weakened our defence and it has to result in signing new defender that will be fighting for startng spot.

36. Haven’t been following transfers much, but truthfully I don’t think we urgently NEED another attacking player. My problem is our defence. Kim and especially Upa have yet to prove themselves as reliable. Stanisic or Ito may get pushed centrally in the case of an injury or poor performances from the aforementioned two, but still, our defensive line seems filled with players who are all good but not outstanding (yet).

    Wonder if Palhinha will see time as a central defender at some point.
