Or at least that’s what I hope I have been drinking…
Finnish food legislation prohibits calling a drink milk if part or all of the lactose has been removed from it.
and what do you think it is?
Basically lactose free milk. Reason why it’s called maitojuoma and not maito is just technical details.
A milk drink refers to milk from which some characteristic part has been removed or standardized, such as lactose removed or the amount of protein standardized. Only the standardization of milk fat is allowed so that the milk can still be called milk (e.g. skimmed, light and whole milk). However, addition is allowed (e.g. milks to which protein or vitamins have been added) and lactose digestion is also allowed (low-lactose milks).
Been drinking it for last half decade. Stomach likes it better. Adult especially doesn’t really need any dairy, so i kind of don’t care what it is. You get used to it in coffee, also since it’s bit of sweet side i don’t need sugar in coffee.
“I can’t believe it’s not Milk”
No. There is no such thing as milk in the stores.
Milk is something that comes out of mammary glands.
All these white substances are modified somehow.
Like water. If you take anything off water, it’s not water anymore. If you add anything to water it’s not water anymore.
Lactose free and fat free milk
Wait till you get confused at the juice-aisle because everything is either juicedrink or just drink. My favourite is “sokeriton sekajuoma”, aka the “sugar-free mixdrink”.
This milk is for drinking. The other stuff is… ypu know.. sex.
No.
It doesnt look like milk. Drink Valio. It is better.
Yes it’s milk.
You cannot legally call it milk, but it’s milk
It is cow sweat.
It’s literally just milk.
My family always buy that specifically.
I don’t know what it is, but basically, it never spoils. Not even opened.
That’s not really milk, more like ” a product partly consisting of milk”
