And that’s why you DQ when proceedings have concluded and there’s a guilty verdict. Not beforehand based on allegations. That now can be the new way to get rid of the competition, just utter some allegations and the EBU will disqualify immediately (well, unless the allegations are against Israel, because that would upset their biggest sponsor Moroccan Oil, so nothing will happen).
Justice for Joost!
Turns out the whole “if the prosecutor is moving that quickly, there has to be something to it” was the same kind of bs like the accusation was in the first place.
OK, so the whole “threatening move” thing was just BS, who would have known.
But let’s talk about the real crime here: When will the fashion police arrest him for this atrocious costume?!?
I am not surprised. Based on the little information we did have there barely seemed to be much of a case at all.
I’ll put my tinfoil hat on and say this was a frame job.
Anyone surprised? LMAO. You are not antisemitic for pointing out that Israel has a big hand in Eurovision, since they are one of the big sponsors. That’s like saying you hate Americans for pointing out their wrongdoings 🙄🙄
Anyway, hopefully Joost comes back next year, or Netherlands* sues Eurovision, or something, because this was unjustified.
I was disappointed that Europapa did not compete in the finals, still even now the case gets dropped it likely is cold comfort for Joost and his team, the damage has already been done.
Anyway, i am going to listen to Europapa now.
It was a hit-job, pure and simple. He criticized the EBU and Israel too explicitly, and the contest management got him disqualified. The only silver lining here is that him being out of the final helped focus the voting on Nemo.
*suprised Pikachu face*
Poor dude honestly. Had his childhood wish ruined and for what.
Color me shocked!!1|!|1
Instead of skipping next Eurovision, Joost should return with a song thats nothing but thinly veiled complaints about EBU
