So in the end 1 Swedish attention-slut ruined the whole festival for her own 5 mins of fame…? LMFAO! Svenska woke-clowns be like!
Soooo are they going to compensate him?? Or can we just arbitrary disqualify people and then say “oops” and nothing will happen?
The EBU banned our song and our flag 🇪🇺
People’s response to this confuse me. It seems to me that many people jump to the conclusion that this means that either nothing happened, or that there’s no evidence available – which is absolutely not what it means.
Just because the evidence in the case is determined to not rise to the the evidentiary standards for criminal prosecution in the country this happened in (it could of this happened in another country), doesn’t mean that there isn’t any evidence for the EBU to act on. They don’t have to hold themselves to the same standard as the prosecution does for determining if someone did something that can put them in jail.
The EBU likely both has camera footage and witness testimony of the event. Just because something that is considered illegal can’t be proved, doesn’t mean nothing can be proved. The EBU are perfectly entitled to have rules that sets a different standards than the law.
Meanwhile Joost is amongst the all time Eurovision singers, by the count of views, what is really impressive after just a couple months.
