  1. *From Bloomberg News:*

Ukraine’s military has taken control of 28 towns and villages in Russia’s Kursk border region, prompting a sixth of its population to flee the incursion, the acting regional governor told President Vladimir Putin.

More than 120,000 people have left their homes and about 60,000 more are waiting to be evacuated, Alexey Smirnov told Putin and Russia’s top security officials during a televised meeting on Monday. Ukrainian forces have penetrated at least 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) into Russia and control a border area at least 40 kilometers wide, though there’s “no clear understanding” of where their troops are, he said.

The frank assessment of the scale of the Ukrainian intervention prompted Putin to interrupt the governor.

  2. Damn good to see the Russians feel a tiny bit of what they’ve been inflicting on Ukraine

  3. Nice. It‘s good to see the ruZzians taste a tiny tiny little bit of their own medicine. The same people were cheering when tanks and military trucks were invading Ukraine from Kursk to kill and rape innocent civilians.

  4. Woman in the middle should be careful what look she gives or Putin may toss her out a window

This is the year 2024. Russia doesn’t even have satellite coverage of its border regions w a neighboring country it has been at war with for over two years?

I never expected competence from Russia, but this is next level.

  6. What an absolute disaster for Putin. This is humiliating for him.

  7. It’s one invasion, Michael, how many could be evacuated? 180.000 people?

  8. There are over 6.5 million Ukrainian refugees with around 6 million of those spread across Europe due to Russia’s stupid war.

  9. Great for bargaining. You want your land back? Give us ours back in exchange. Putin must be fucking fuming. I expect window jumping suicides to increase exponentially in Russia the next few weeks.

  10. The Russian problem is that their one strategy usually is to level the towns they take to the ground. Tough to do on your own towns.

  11. Where’s the Ukraine invading Russia on the bingo board?

  12. Yo, Putin. You could give Crimea back, withdraw completely from Ukraine, and say “my bad”. Pretty sure that would fix it

  13. I wonder if Putin gets a cold chill up his spine whenever he gets near a window nowadays

  14. Good, probably should just take over all of Russia tbh.

  15. I’d love to get an honest Russians opinion who supported the war and how they feel now. Are you expecting the world to feel bad for you?

  16. This is not going well putin. If ukraine gets air superiority in Russia, oh my..

  17. Smart move to evacuate before Russia begins it’s counter attack. They seem to prefer bombing civilian targets.

  18. Those evacuees may go behind the lines on Russia’s army and strain their resources even more.

Hopefully they also mix intelligence operatives among them to try to disrupt their logistic lines once they are on the rear.

  19. It would be a damn shame if Russia were to go the way of the USSR and Ukraine takes over the whole shebang.

  20. I would feel bad for these civilians but than I saw the video of them supporting the invasion of Ukraine

  21. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if the whole point of the counter-invasion/incursion is to create a Russian refugee crisis. Put political pressure on Putin, shuffle resources, change the public opinion on the war.

  22. wont they be surrounded if they push too far in? its not like they are razing the towns down? what about their supply lines?

  23. The idea that Ukraine is able to invade Russia and displace people is going to pierce through Russia’s media bubble, and the Kremlin won’t be able to contain it.

  24. Oh no! If it isn’t the consequences of your own actions. Don’t worry, Ukraine is just reclaiming their land.

  25. And now we’ll see Russia destroy it’s own infrastructure when they try to retake it.

  26. I hope they reach Moscow and start fucking Putin’s shit up.

  27. It would be hilarious if Ukraine takes Russia at the end of all this. Putin should have just minded his own business.
