  1. Do they plan on stealing even more land from the farmers to carry out this work?

  2. I hope they use native tree’s, in the past non native tree’s have been used.

    >The types of tree being planted has become a bone of contention. **The company plans for almost three quarters of the trees to be conifers, which are an outside species.** However, critics have said this threatens biodiversity and have demanded they plant solely native broadleaves.

Also hope it’s not some carbon credit green washing thing~

  3. Not as long as Labour continues along with its new policy of allowing building over green belt land, no.

  4. yes yes yes yes yes please fucking rewild some of these pathetic useless fields

  5. If anyone would like to inform themselves of the landscape history in Wales, read Tir by Carwyn Graves and learn about how we got here.

Establishing woodlands is partly a solution, however what will the management plans of these newly created woodlands look like?

Through my work as a grower, meeting conventional farmers forestry workers and various people searching hard for alternatives. The biggest thing I worry about is the continued opinions and demands from urban people who want unworkable outcomes.

  6. We need a return of native woodland to save local wildlife. The places I’ve been where this woodland still exists are some of the most beautiful places I’ve seen in this country.

What I do not want to see is another conifer invasion.

  7. Anyone interested in this should read Guy Shrubsole’s book ‘The Lost Rainforests of Britain’ a brilliant read.

  8. Re wild farms so we import our food?!
Thats crazy, bad for the planet, bad for wildlife, bad for the economy and food security.
Just wait for food price inflation to sky rocket then see who still likes forests instead of pasture and crops.

  9. We have a forest here in Holyhead. Sadly the council want it gone to build contractors lodges while they build Wylfa 2. It’s not like there’s load of farm land between Holyhead and Wylfa that could do just that.
