Nazi extremist in bulletproof vest and helmet stabs seven – Turkey

1. Man, 18, has been arrested by police after stabbing seven in an Eskisehir tearoom. Carrying a bulletproof vest, helmet and an axe, he stabbed seven people sitting at the park and the tearoom. He was later quickly apprehended by the police after attempting to flee the incident. Two of the seven injured learned to be in a critical situation and have been transported to the Eskisehir City Hospital.

   The perpetrator had a camera on his helmet and streamed the terror attack live – he mostly targeted old people. It is alleged that the suspect was under the influence of video games. There was “black sun” insignia on his vest, which was also used during the 2019 Christchurch mosque attack in New Zealand.

   The symbol was first designed by SS leader Heinrich Himmler and was upholstered on the Wewelsburg Castle, which was then finalized by the SS officer Wilhelm Landing, who had paid close attention to the “mystic Aryan race” hypothesis. Believing it was an alternative to the swastika, the symbol was named “black sun” by him. Following the ban on swastikas in Europe following World War II, most extremists tend to use the black sun.

   His social media posts point out that he had plans to attack the Communist Party of Turkey headquarters, target migrants’ houses, bomb the migrant registration center, sabotage electricity infrastructure, make fake bomb report for pride parade and many more. The perpetrator claims that he had imitiated Timoty Mcveigh, who had killed 168 in Oklahoma.

   The Minister of Justice released a press statement on social media, indicating that the criminal investigation is being conducted rigorously by the Eskisehir Republican Attorney’s Office.
