These people are fed up of having no opportunities and then being branded as ‘privileged’ for their skin colour by the left.
It was just yesterday the left wing Trade Union Congress was [urging businesses to racially discriminate against hiring white people regardless of merit in favour of hiring non-white people](https://www.theguardian.com/politics/article/2024/aug/12/tories-left-legacy-of-structural-racism-in-uk-jobs-market-says-tuc).
Tone deaf from the left and such awful timing right after the riots for them to start announcing ‘white privilege’.
No wonder these people are turning to Reform.
Imagine going rioting and getting out rioted by a 12 year old
It’s all just a game when you are 12. The parents should be held responsible.
I thought this concept would actually open the eyes to the idea that the reasons are secondary to the violence, but apparently not for some members here. I’m not sure if its bots or just brainrot
This is pretty standard for riots. Look at Northern Irish riots and you’ll see how young most of em are
Probably thought he would get a slap on the wrist and told not to do it again. He has just found out the meaning of ‘Play stupid games, win stupid prizes’.
I wonder the extent social media is having an impact on young kids these days, or if it’s just poor parenting.
When I was 12 (20 years ago) I was too busy focusing on things like playing Pokémon and Star Wars Battlefront… but those were the days of flip phones, internet was pretty new, and I hadn’t even heard of Facebook at that point.
There’s a headshot picture in that article about a 12 year old of a balding bloke in his 30’s and I genuinely thought – “blimey this kids seen some years”
The hitler youth loved breaking stuff in the ‘crystal night’ 1936.
When it’s children as young as 12 the problem is a wider social one around education, integration and values.
The fact is we have a marginalised under class in the U.K. with poor prospects and disregard for other people, manners or the rule of law.
It’s a bigger social issue and the criminal justice approach won’t solve it. You can just keep locking up lots of angry young men.
