Running your company like an entitled American knobhead doesn’t wash everywhere thankfully.
This was a shitty move by Musk. 24 hours notice is immoral. What if the person was on leave?
>The WRC heard that the social media giant – now known as X – decided that the employee had resigned when he failed to tick a box requiring him to agree to new unspecified pay and conditions within a one-day deadline in response to an e-mail from the company’s new owner Elon Musk in November 2022.
Fuck me. I’m really starting to not like this Musk fella.
A nice little bit of payback seeing as he’s so comfortable sticking his nose into our national business.
I’d be surprised if Twitter / X or whatever’s it’s calling itself this week is even around in a couple of year’s time. That’s mayhem!
After further correspondence, he eventually received a reply from Twitter’s HR department on December 7, 2022 which stated his decision not to click “yes” was treated as serving notice of his resignation.
You would have to question the credibility and competence of this Lauren Wegman and the rest of twitters HR team.
What an embarrassing episode in their career, it beggars belief that these people call themselves professionals. They are simply yes men with no principles.
I’m genuinely concerned Musk has such influence that he’s gonna say fuck it and start allowing so much more hate content and misinformation to flow into Ireland and pressure others. He seems like the most childish vindictive man alive!
Last week sure sueing companies for not buying ads on his platform when one month before told said companies “fuck you” and don’t buy ads on his platform if he didn’t like how it was run 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
Hopefully the first of many such awards.
Will they just refuse to pay? How are WRC awards enforced?
The guy just got paid what be would have if he was made redundant if he was. He was making 360k a year. So it is nothing special.
There’s not much to see here.
This is all pretty common place in the U.S. just getting fired for basically no reason. 3 months severence is decent in the U.S., too. I have seen much worse.
Musk didn’t seem to realize that you can’t just get rid of people in other parts of the world like you can in the U.S.

I wonder do any other employees have a case?
