   A deepening shortage of soldiers for its war in Ukraine is prompting Russia to hike recruitment bonuses to avoid a repeat of an unpopular mobilization. So far, there’s little sign it’s working.

   The military isn’t getting enough new soldiers to keep pace with frontline losses that are at their highest since the February 2022 invasion began, according to three people close to the Kremlin and the Russian Defense Ministry, asking not to be identified because the issue is sensitive.

   Regional officials are now failing to meet more than a third of their recruitment quotas on average, a person familiar with the situation said.

   The situation may force Russia to consider a new mobilization, according to two of the people.

4. Good. Putin will be forced to mobilize again if signup bonus will not attract enough volunteer (to be slaughtered) for military (couple days basic training) and sent off to frontline.

   Who want to volunteer knowing you will be sent to front as cannon fodder?

7. As much as we can cheer on Ukraine here, I’m foreseeing the worst if Ukraine continues pushing inwards.

   It was previously reported Russia actually has a pretty lowbar requirement on when they’d resort to nukes. Them being invaded is one of them.

    Everyone just tries to push others forward to fight and only the dumbest and most drugged up idiots try to storm for the next 2km gains to make up for Putins small penis.

    If you truely challenge the will to fight for all that nonsense, pretty few seem willing to do so. Thats why Russia has mercs instead of an army.
