> A ‘cash for peerages’ investigation by openDemocracy and The Sunday Times in November revealed a pattern of high-value Tory donors securing seats in the House of Lords. Opposition MPs urged Met commissioner Cressida Dick to investigate, but the force refused, saying there was “insufficient information”.
> Now the Met is also refusing to release any information about how it came to that conclusion – including copies of internal emails and whom it consulted.
They investigated Labour cash for honours based on the word of a single Tory MP.
Yet more corruption from the Met.
Cressida Dick will probably move on soon I fancy, too many fuck ups. She will be rewarded with something from a grateful Tory party.
Aw Man, I could see this coming a mile off. Next week I need to do the fucking lottery.
I don’t like how a lot of this is pinned on Cressida Dick. Yeah nominative determinism and all that. But I feel like she’s treated as a fall guy so that when she’s gone the police can carry on acting like it was her and not all of them. I mean have you seen a single officer in a paper calling the police out? They’d all rather ‘follow orders’ than have integrity. I’d rather police officers did the right thing rather than do what they’re told.
They only investigate where they are told to investigate. The whole thing with Gardener and the child of a spy is ridiculous as THE MET VETTED HIM and if you’ve ever had to go through that process they know everything.
Funny thing is this spy they’re talking about had numerous unfettered contact with Dodgy Dave Cameron and Osbourne. But that isn’t investigated
So she does what she’s told, even when it’s hypocrisy or just plain wrong. They know where the skeletons are buried and they keep her safe so she keeps them protected. Remember: she got promoted after the Jean Charles de Menezes murder, and her career’s made no sense ever since.
You accidentally get a man shot dead during a surveillance operation and I guarantee promotion is not next on the list of things that happen to you. . Dodgy as fook.
Oh, this is “cash for peerages”? I thought it was going to be about the traitors in the house of lords who are known to be paid Russian assets, actively working to undermine our country.
