Bayern are happy with how Coman presented himself so far, but a departure is still a possibility. Should he leave, there are no guarantees that Bayern will sign a replacement. All options are being kept open, but the focus is primarily on 2025 (Wirtz/Simons) instead of a panic buy

  1. No panic buy à la Zaragozza this time sounds good at least.

  2. Concentrating on both…I dunno. Talk to them. Make nails with heads. As Bayern should be doing with Wirtz for quiet some years now and get it done next summer. That’s Bayerns main problem. Too much talking, too much waiting most of the time. Sometimes it works though, most often, Bayerns approach to big transfers doesn’t. Not for players in comparable spheres, except for Kane.

I also don’t know how each one feels about being in consideration knowing about Bayerns situation and the possible involvement/desire of the other. I guess the both prefer to be the main target instead.

  3. This is PR speak for ‘we don’t think we will be able to get rid of him.’ The same happened for Gnabry. I wonder if Goretzka will get the same treatment towards the end of August.

Coman & Gnabry’s salaries are a burden but having them as depth / rotational pieces this year isn’t the worst thing in the world. It’s going to suck paying €17+m to players who sit on the bench, but if they perform they’ll play and if they don’t, we finally have class players to take their spots.

  4. I mean, we don’t have a replacement for the 6 months per season in which he is usually injured.

  5. Coman’s issue is his fitness

Sure he looks out of form at times because it is hard to come back that many times. If we can turn injuries off I’d love to keep him, but we cant, so I would prefer a sale since he cant be trusted to keep fit

  6. We currently have 2 wingers who are heavily injury prone, and 2 wingers that can’t put together two good halves of a season. We need all 4 to compete, unless they play on playing Musiala on the left wing. Selling Coman would be a huge mistake
